This Sums It Up Nicely

This cartoon ran in a sister paper earlier this week.  I think it sums things up nicely about the Republican party line-up.  It's looking good for President Obama is all I can say.

Oh and I'd like Chris Christie a lot more if he weren't an obnoxious ass who yells at his constituents that where his kids go to school is none of her business when it's a matter of private (where his kids go to school) and public (where her kids go to school) and he's creating legislation that takes away from public schools.  Isn't she one of the people who pays his salary as a tax paying citizen of the state of New Jersey?

It's a shame that Republicans are either stupid, crazy, obnoxious or all three - like Sarah Palin.

Ah well, that was good for a laugh.   Here's hoping that's all they will be getting in 2012 - a lot of laughs.

Oh and for those who missed those debates they've been having, the highlights were those assbags - the audience of Tea Party Nutbaggers - booed a gay soldier currently serving in Afghanistan when he asked a question because he's gay, cheered that Rick Perry has overseen 258 (? not sure the exact number but it was definitely a lot of state sanctified murder going on there) death penalty executions, and yelled 'let 'em die' when Ron Paul was asked if he would let a person unable to pay for his health care die.

Compassionate conservatism?  That's a real oxymoron isn't it?  I see nothing compassionate about them.  I also can't imagine that I will ever vote for anyone who doesn't believe in evolution and denies global warming despite all the FACTS.

It's gonna get ugly next year, that's for sure. I'm already seeing the arguments starting on Facebook b/t conservatives and liberals. I'm making an effort to keep politics off my page and status b/c in 2008 all it led to was horrible fighting.

Word verif: tonic That's what Bay Staters call soda.

Yeah!!! You're back! I've been longing for you to open up a big can of political "whip ass" for ages now. As usual, I agree with everything you said. I almost did a post a couple of weeks ago when the incident happened about letting people die who could not afford to pay for health care. I have to wonder how that person(s) would feel if that scenario applied to them or someone they loved. Anyway, wonderful post!!!

Yeah, it's gonna get ugly all right. I've been trying to avoid saying anything but sometimes, I just can't take the level of stupidity being displayed by the Republican party. Their only viable candidate - one that I might consider voting for - is John Huntsman and he's on the outs for believing in evolution and being a rational human being.

Oh well, here's hoping the sane, intelligent people in the Republican party can get their act together and band together against the tea party. Kick them out and make them get their own party going. If not, they will go the way of the Whig party.

The hardest thing for me is that some of my dearest friends are extremely conservative. Including at least one Deadhead which distresses me. Then I have friends on the way, way liberal end of the spectrum. And when the 2 face off, it's the perfect storm. That's why I am keeping my trap shut this political season b/c I am doing my utmost to avoid conflict.

I hear ya, JoJo. I have friends on the extreme ends of the spectrum as well. I generally never discuss politics with any of them. Fortunately, most people who are that way don't read my blog.

Generally we all agree to disagree.

Oxymoron, with the emphasis on moron.

Soda and tonic are different substances over here JoJo. No wonder we all get confused!
