[Okay, that one was pulled too so thanks to BobbyG for sending me the link below. Hopefully because it's an official NBC link it will stay for a little longer]
This guy is Captain Kirk and Denny Crane!!! He's awesome. lol And now here's this little gem he's given us and I will always love him for it.
Yep, I do love William Shatner. He makes more sense than the original did. And I prefer his voice to Palin's grating, whining, idiot voice. It's hilarious

Miscellaneous Thoughts
It's been a very annoying news week. Republicans better watch out, they're pandering to their nut job base and has been taken over by the lunatic fringe of their party. I think they're trying to commit suicide and on one hand it's disturbing to me because I believe we need an opposition party to keep whoever is in power in check. However, the part of me that has come to loathe everything the Republican party has become in the last eight years wants to hand them the gun and ammo to shoot themselves in the head.
After hearing Rush Limbaugh's apparently drug-induced ramblings (because he can't be that crazy unless the thought of a black man running this country finally blew out the last shred of sanity he had in that fat head of his), Glenn Beck wasn't much of a surprise with his accusations that Barack Obama hates white people. You know you're way out there when FIX news, the network where he works and where he made that statement, makes a statement distancing themselves from the nut job comments he made. Yep, Mr. Beck, you're too nuts even for people who cater to nuts.
Found it incredibly amusing that Jon Stewart won an online poll over who is the most trusted newsman in America now that Walter Cronkite had passed away. I can see that, though. Stewart at least manages to cut through the bullshit coming from both sides of the aisle. And of course it helps that I share most of his opinions.
Heard through the LOCI fandom grapevine that the people at the one board that I suspect is paid to be there by Dick Wolf productions has been crowing over the Nichols/Eames combo. As if! Sorry, but while I did enjoy the Nichols and Eames interaction, it's not going to make up for the loss of Goren should VDO decide to leave. Also saw someone post at Major Case about that particular point of view posted at another forum. Wanted to say that the place they heard it at is full of a bunch of fakers so don't take anything there as something from true fans. But I don't want to make trouble at Major Case because it's the only civil place forum-wise to express a view point. I can make plenty here. ;-)
Had a raccoon incident at work today. Apparently one decided he wanted to hang out on the window sill in the circulation department.
The raccoon left shortly after the photo was taken.
But from what I was told he hung out a long time.
No, it's not snow. As best as we can figure it's asbestos.
Just kidding - sort of. The building is so old it's older than
most of us working there. Hey, it's older than me by 13 years!!!
It was apparently the most exciting thing that happened in the office all day. The window is looking out at the wall of the neighboring building. The circulation manager went outside and tossed him a doughnut. I'm thinking that will give him incentive to return? Do they eat doughnuts?
Oh well, it was the big news of the day. That tells you how hard it can be to find actual news in a small town. lol
That's it for today. Sorry it's not more interesting. Maybe next time.

Major Case
It seems the Goldblum/Nicholson showrunner has found his footing. This episode was at least more interesting than the first two under this person - I have no idea what his/her name is because I don't seem to care enough to learn at this point.
Thought this episode was well executed anyway. The interaction between Ross/Eames/Nichols was well balanced and we even saw M.E. Rodgers getting more involved. I've missed her. Warren Leight spoiled us a lot when it comes to the regulars I think.
Wish I could be more excited but it's almost over and I am quite frankly hoping it's really over. I can't take any more incompetence. Glad Goldblum's episode was improved. But I'm not glad at all about the D'Onofrio/Erbe episodes. They have one more shot but honestly, it probably won't be able to save this show. It's almost as if the producers are trying to kill it. Seriously.
I want to post a photo but it seems the USA site is also sucking massively and not letting me get any because the photos appear to be there but then default to Season 7's Amends. Now I like that episode and all but I WANT photos from the latest episode.
LOCI has always been the unwanted stepchild of Wolf Productions. Now it seems to be put on the back burner with USA as well. I shouldn't be surprised.
As a dedicated fan of this show who has been watching since the very first episode aired, I am disgusted and angry at the way things have been handled for this series. This last season has been a complete disaster from the horrible writers for G/E episodes to the changing midstream of the showrunner for the N/W episodes. And I'm not even going to revisit the horror that was 'All In.' Walon Green should be fired for that kind of shoddy work.
One more episode to go and at this point, it's sadly just something I feel needs to be endured rather than anticipated and enjoyed. Again, I'd have posted some photos but it seems USA has a glitch since yesterday and it still hasn't seen fit to fix it.
In hindsight, this series should have ended with season 7 because when Leight and the entire writing staff left, they left behind a void which was filled by people who obviously are just there to do a job. Not people who care about the quality of their work and about the characters, actors and fans of the show. Now I'm left to do what I did with Homicide: Life on the Street. Pretend the show ended with the departure of Detective Frank Pembleton.

Racism is alive and well in America....
...and it's not the Henry Louis Gates case.
We are a sum of our experiences in life. I am a third generation American of Japanese ancestry and my view of the world is colored by that perspective. Having come from a racial group that once had their constitutional rights removed, their property taken and their lives put on hold when they were sent to "relocation" camps during World War II, I am quite a vocal advocate of individual rights and liberties. It really gets on my nerves when people make statements about Muslim Americans that imply they are terrorists because my family used to be on the receiving end of comments like that during WWII. So I am extra sensitive in that area and may react with more anger than necessary when hearing statements like that.
Just as Henry Louis Gates is probably extra sensitive about being accused of being a thief by the police when he was in his own home. Granted, being belligerent with the police is not a good idea when they are just doing their jobs. However, I can see how he may have been in a bad mood, tired and frustrated.
Officer Crowley, a man who is most probably NOT a racist, was facing an angry man who was throwing accusations at him that could be frustrating and angering to someone who is trained in racial profiling sensitivity. His experiences as a police officer probably include being frustrated by angry perps who swear at him and claim innocence despite obvious guilt.
So you have two men, probably alpha males from what I can tell in the little I know of them both, going at it and in the end, instead of walking away from the situation, Sergeant Crowley arrested Mr. Gates because he was probably pissed off and because being a cop, he could.
Was it a racial incident? Perhaps. I don't know if a white man would have been arrested so readily. But then, Mr. Crowley should have known better. However, he was mad and probably wasn't thinking in the most rational manner.
My view point is that Mr. Gates should apologize for being rude to the officer who was just doing his job and Mr. Crowley should apologize for abusing his authority. I say this because even the police department couldn't come up with a good reason for the arrest of Mr. Gates in the first place. President Obama was correct in his initial statement, Officer Crowley acted stupidly, even if Mr. Gates reacted badly.
I don't think this is an example of racism at all. On the part of either party. It's more two alpha males, pride and stubbornness. It's also a bit of racial insensitivity perhaps at most.
Now, you want racism? Take a look at the cry from the radical right and some Republican politicians about Obama NOT being born on American soil.
Some inbred, dumbass woman stood up and waved her birth certificate at some Republican congressman asking why no one was questioning Obama's right to be president. She was apparently appalled that Americans were allowing a man who wasn't born in the United States to become president. Apparently the moron hasn't been reading the news or watching it on television - well, maybe FIX news but they don't count as they misinform as oppose to inform - because not only has his birth certificate been authenticated but they found a birth announcement for him in the archives of one of the Honolulu newspapers (forget if it was the Star Bulletin or Advertiser).
Now this is racism at its ugliest. Republican senators and congressmen want future presidential candidates to have to provide proof that they are qualified to be president by providing birth certificates, etc. The right wing nuts are still in control of the Republican party and it's actually rather frightening that people are that stupid and that easily misled.
The basis of this is ignorance, fear and overt racism. No other president has been questioned in this manner. Because of his foreign sounding name and because he is black, he is being questioned. I have no doubt of this. It's wrong and it smacks of racism and it needs to be pointed out that the Republican party is the one responsible and they should be punished even more than they were in the last election. Anyone who votes for the people on the committee who are calling for these requirements should be ostracized and voted out of office by sane, thoughtful human beings. Of course their constituents are probably the right wing nuts so they can't cave to reason and decry the racist action for fear of being voted out of office.
I suppose Hawaii isn't really a state??? My birth certificate says "Territory of Hawaii" because I was born one month before Hawaii became a state. Does that stupid bimbo think I'm not a citizen of the United States then? Because I know a whole lot more about it and our constitutional rights than I bet she does. I probably also have a larger vocabulary and am capable of comprehending complex concepts better than she does. Yes, I think she's STUPID.
As a 'liberal elitest' as I've been labeled because I have a brain and I use it, I do think anyone who thinks Sarah Palin is smart and capable of leading this country - or any country or apparently even state as she couldn't handle the heat in just one state so she quits - is STUPID. Apologies to anyone who believes this but I have to be honest. I doubt anyone who reads this has a high opinion of Ms. Palin but in case someone stumbles upon this and is enraged, please feel free to never read this blog ever again because you'll be even more insulted if she decides to run for president again.
Ah, but I digress, back to the issue of racism.
What is happening in this country is we're now facing the facts. Just because we have a black president, doesn't mean the problems have gone away. There will always be pockets of racists in this country. Many of them probably don't realize they are racists. I bet that woman angrily waiving her birth certificate around doesn't think she's a racist but she either is or is helping to fan the flames that gives racist movements momentum.
Look I know that most things that people scream are racist tend to be mostly cultural or racial insensitivity. But this outcry over Obama's birth certificate and his eligibility to be president is just blatant racism and needs to be called what it is. And the Republicans who are part of that committee that, as Chris Matthews pointed out, are feeding the paranoia of the nutjobs in their base. They are and they should be ashamed.
Racism is born out of ignorance and fear. Many people who are educated on those issues sometimes change their mind and realize they were wrong. Just as many refuse to look at the facts and stubbornly cling to their beliefs in the face of all facts. The Republican party needs to get itself in order and kick out those stubborn nuts or the intelligent ones in that party need to leave and start a new party with people who aren't certifiably stupid and/or crazy. Right now, the latter are winning and it's not pretty.

All In - WTF
Blogger is working for now so I thought I'd better get this up now before it decides to stop.
The usual spoiler warning applies. Do not look farther than this photo if you haven't seen this episode yet as I may give away a lot of things - including the ending - depending on how my rant goes. Let's just say, I am so unhappy at the moment, Goren and Eames look exactly like I was feeling during the entire episode.
So here we go....
WTF??? That's my first thought as I think about this episode. This show was supposed to be a sequel to the brilliant 'Cruise to Nowhere' from season 5. Season 5 was quite bleak, IMO, as those who have been following me around the LOCI fandom would know. But there were three gems that could be among the very best of LOCI. 'In the Wee Small Hours' and ' To The Bone' being the other two. 'Cruise to Nowhere' was quite a gem. Used Shakespearean themes with a lot of great little gems hidden in character names and dialog.
'Cruise to Nowhere' featured a young man named Joey Frost. He was a brilliant poker player who was being exploited by a man who took him under his wing after his father was murdered. Turns out the man who took Joey under his wing was the man who murdered his father and who was trying to frame Joey for the murder of his brother-in-law.
Goren seemed to take a liking to the young man and in the end after being played by the kid, Goren plays him and gets him to do the right thing. So we get the feeling Goren helps Joey, although we don't know what happens to him.
This episode was apparently supposed to be a follow-up. However, from what I can ascertain in my trips to Major Case - the only place I still check up on from time to time because all the other LOCI boards make me want to strangle certain persons - is that the original actor who played Joey, Lou Taylor Pucci, couldn't be signed or was going to do it and couldn't at the last minute or whatever. He couldn't do it.
So, instead of just hiring an actor who looked like him - the actor they hired was close but not enough to pull it off - and keeping the name, etc. They changed it to Josh Snow. Didn't even bother to change the background of the kid and his history. It was just annoying and confusing and pissed me off right at the get-go.
Couldn't the writers do something better than that??? Just keep the flippin' name the same for heaven's sake!!! Then I'd be annoyed that they didn't get the original actor but that's much more understandable then changing his name and making him some other character??? WTF???
From the highest high of 'Ladies Man' - which was a really weak case file with a lot of weird holes int it but so much Goren/Eames that it thrilled me and made me have hope - to the lowest of lows with this episode. It was the worst episode ever. EVER. I'd rather watch all of season 5 all over again then see this episode just one more time.
Not even the good Goren moments could save this one. It was stupid. It was so stupid, even stupid people would think it was stupid.
Oh yeah, they're going to say that the more 'casual viewer' would not know that. Well how many fucking 'casual viewers' do they think this show has any more? From the ratings they've been getting, I'd say none. Face it, the people watching this show are fans of the actors. We want to see them featured and we don't want to see them minimized for the sake of the perps.
The die-hard fans of t his show are Vincent D'Onofrio fans. We LOVE this man and will watch him sit and stare into space for the entire hour. So get a clue writers and producers of the show. And please don't try to be brilliant any more. Because obviously you're not. The brains left with Leight and company, apparently.
And please don't try to recreate brilliance when you obviously don't have any. Maybe just let the writer who wrote 'Ladies Man' stick around but the rest of you need to go. You have no idea how to write for this show. You don't have a feel for Goren and Eames.
This was just awful. I wish I could be more excited at the few glimmers of Goren being Goren again. I can't because the whole show was handled horribly.
Josh Snow/Joey Frost ends up turning into a murderer. I so didn't care at this point because of my total distraction at the whole name thing that it was anti-climatic. I was so beyond caring by the end that I wasn't even impressed by Goren's magician's trick with the bullet and the gun. I knew he wasn't going to blow his brains out either so that was not a tense moment for me, when he shows Josh how he 'played' him in the end.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but if this crop of writers are going to return if there is a season 9, I won't be watching and I'd rather see the show cancelled outright at this point. I don't want it to go out so horribly, but Homicide sort of did. Even their final season wasn't as bad as this LOCI season has been, though. So maybe kill it now to put it out of our misery, as it were.
Now I'm going to miss seeing Vincent and Kathryn every other week and I'm even going to miss Jeff - though his episodes with the new showrunner hasn't been thrilling either.
Don't know if I expressed this here before or just at some other forum or maybe I was just venting to my husband. Either way, it seems as if the producers of this show one day said, "Well, this is pretty much sucking, let's make it worse and make Goldblum episodes as boring as the D'Onofrio ones."
So, on that horribly sad note, I have to end. I'm terribly afraid to watch the next Goren/Eames episode. Think I'm going to need to have some alcohol handy to get through it.
[NP: Watching the news so no music]

All In and All Done
Blogger is acting up on me tonight so I'm not apparently able to post photos and such. Wonderful.
I'm just going to say - until I can get Blogger to upload photos and save my drafts, that LOCI has finally hit ROCK BOTTOM. This episode was so horribly done and poorly executed that I can't begin to tell you how much I actually dislike the writers who took over for Warren Leight. They suck. I mean come on!!! You have only EIGHT episodes to do. Leight and crew had to do the whole thing by themselves. Writing for TWO teams.
If these writers are all returning for a season 9 - which I seriously doubt there will even be a season 9 at this point - I am going to just visit the blogs of those who cap these episodes and just be done with it. I don't want to suffer through any more crappy programming.
Will give you specifics when Blogger lets me do more than rant. I want to at least have a photo or two of Vincent to include because that will be the only good thing about this episode, IMO.

What Can I Say? Maureen Dowd Rocks!
I've posted about Maureen Dowd before because she's my favorite columnist. She does not disappoint and this week, she's come out with another winner. I love her biting wit and the way she totally gets after that awful Sarah Palin. Here's her latest entitled Sarah's Secret Diary. It will give you a good laugh to start your weekend. :-)
She also wrote another one entitled Now, Sarah's Folly. I have a lot of catching up to do in reading everything from friend sites to favorite columnists. Think I'm going to spend the weekend reading Maureen Dowd. She always makes me feel better.
Here's hoping Sarah will sink into obscurity. Somehow I doubt that but maybe, she'll be on her way to being the female Jerry Springer. All her fans are of that ilk anyway. The "I don't know who my baby daddy is" crowd. Or "My mother stole my boyfriend" or....well, you get the idea.
Btw, anyone who says Sarah is being treated badly and people are being mean spirited and hurtful to her needs to remember the mean spirited and hateful attitude she inspired and condoned and even encouraged during the presidential campaign. She can dish it out but can't take it. It's best she go away and stick to those who think she's wonderful. The rest of the country doesn't want her. You reap what you sow and she's reaped a lot of bad feelings and negativity. If I never hear her whiney-ass voice ever again, it won't be too soon.

Escaped the Birthday Ad....I Think
Today was Friday for me. Taking off tomorrow and Monday and the ENTIRE weekend. I was being very good about keeping my birthday quiet. Dennis in circulation asked me yesterday if I had celebrated my birthday yet and I told him it was none of his business and if he mentioned it to anyone he was a dead man. So I was concerned but no one said anything. My instincts told me I was lulling myself into a false sense of security.
My husband threatened to send a stripper. I told him I'd rather have chocolates - unless it was either Vincent D'Onofrio or Johnny Depp or....well, let's just leave it at those two for now, I was not interested in seeing any naked men. And besides, it would remind them that my birthday was coming up!!!
Didn't need to be in the office until about noon. I walked in and saw no signs. Those embarrassing signs that say "Everyone Wish Marsha a Happy 50th Birthday!" or "Guess How Old Marsha Is! Ask her!" and other things we do normally. I was feeling a sense of relief. The circulation guys said a normal 'hello' and not the smart-ass "Hey, you old fart!" greeting they give to people who hit landmark birthdays of 30, 40, 50 or 60.
With a feeling of confidence, I walked up to the front office and saw black streamers over my desk and this cake:
It's black balloons and the figure in the middle
is the Grim Reaper - for those who can't make it out.
Along with a card. Now most people would feel great and happy but I was suspicious. Where's the embarrassing ad with the photo of me looking angry enough to kill someone? (I always look like that in photos that's because that is my usual expression when someone takes my picture)
Wow, it was a miracle. They were just being nice! In their warped way, of course.
It was nice. No police tape around my desk, no unplugged keyboard or mouse or anything. So we had cake (don't forget to rinse out your mouth after eating black frosting or you will look really diseased and weird) and I was relieved. No embarrassing photos on my computer either. That's another thing you get surprised by.
The day progressed and as I was heading out of the office to start my weekend, someone told me to make sure I read the Saturday paper - the date of my actual birthday. Now I have to spend two days worried about what's going to be in it. They're evil people. I bet they won't even run an ad, just letting me worry about it because I'm not going to be there for four days. Bastards. I love them all - well, not all, but most.
So the weekend begins! May it be Palin-free and boycott Time for putting the self-serving, quitter on the cover. I'm actually pissed off about that. Renegade? I think not. She's just a QUITTER!!!

Better Late Than Never
You know how things get when you're turning 50, the mind is the first thing to go. So somehow, despite having mentioned it and realizing that July 5, was Kathryn Erbe's birthday, I went and forgot to do a birthday post. Last year I even made a slide show! *sigh*
So in lieu of anything remotely creative on my part - and I use the word creative rather loosely as it's not what I consider my forte, my forte being smart-ass comments that occasionally get me in trouble - I've asked untapdtreasure if it would be okay to post her tribute video here. I just saw it last night because despite the fact that she sent it to me on June 30, I didn't get around to watching it until then. Thought I 'd share it with anyone who still stops by here.
So a belated happy birthday to my favorite actress. I love it that my favorite actor (Vincent D'Onofrio for anyone who happens to not know me or have read my blog at all until this post) and actress were both born around the same time of year I was. :-)

I've survived the weekend....barely
So there were fireworks and family and food and mosquitoes. Lilly stayed over Saturday night and spent most of Sunday with us. It's nice that she's 8 because she can pretty much do everything by herself and is quite self-sufficient. She even went to run errands with me because she's big enough to not have to be in a car seat. The loading them in and out of the car in a car seat is really rough on old Grandma Marsha.
We were at Wal Mart, getting candles (and because Lilly wanted to decorate a cake for her dad, a second cake to go with the German Chocolate cake he requested for his birthday) and as we were heading out, we stopped by the crossing from the store to the parking lot. The driver of an SUV motioned us to cross, so grandma took Lilly's hand and we hurried across. Lilly looked at me when we got to the other side and said, "Wow, Grandma, I've never seen you run before." Yeah, well, grandma didn't even run a lot when she was Lilly's age so it's not surprising, was my reply. She gave me one of those looks children give adults when they think they're nuts and we went on our way to the Chinese buffet where she went crazy - and grandma let her - and grandma discovered the girl loves sushi. Yes, I know sushi is Japanese but around here Asian is Asian and you get your food where you can. Now if only they would combine Korean food with it - Kalbi ribs I miss you!!! - I'd be very happy.
Grandpa had a bout of diverticulitis so he was not in an eating mood. Lilly was adorable, though. She kept asking grandpa if he wanted shrimp or a fortune cookie or anything.
By the time we ended the day with cake and ice cream, I was ready for work. lol
Hated being outside Saturday night for the fireworks. Mosquitoes were out full force and I am a mosquito magnet. But the fireworks were great again this year. Stars, stripes, happy faces even.
So it took me a couple of days recovery to get this posted.
Have so much I want to say, so little time. May be blogging more this weekend as I am having a four day weekend to recharge my batteries and spend time at home in hiding, hoping the co-workers will have forgotten this is my 50th birthday upcoming. Most of us are ill or have ailing family members for some reason so we've been missing birthdays or just doing cards. No embarrassing ads or too much sabotage of work spaces. Of course a couple of people who have payback in mind from my enthusiastic participation in their birthday surprises claim they marked my birthday on their calendar. Here's hoping they don't see until my birthday, which will be on a Saturday so the chances are good, they'll miss it. Keeping my fingers crossed in anticipation.
Hope to be blogging happily over the weekend. I really miss venting. lol

Happy Birthday America
May not be able to do much online tomorrow. It's the Fourth of July as it were. I must say it's the first time in several years that I'm actually proud to be an American again. We've got Jimmy's 32nd birthday - I've felt incredibly old ever since he turned 30 - to celebrate. His birthday was the same day as VDO but since it was a weekday, we're holding up the cake and ice cream for the weekend. Now that we live close to the park where the fireworks celebration happens, we just have to take lawn chairs out and watch. It's nice.
So on America's birthday, I would like to just share a very heartfelt thank you to all who supported President Barack Obama. Don't let the naysayers get you down. It's tough going these days in an economy he inherited from conservatives who seem to think the same old same old should fix the problem it caused in the first place. I'm not 100% with him on all issues but I am on most and I am quite certain, the only thing the Republicans can offer us would be more of the narrow-minded, selfish, xenophobic arrogance that got us into the mess we're in right now. Barack Obama is our best hope and on the anniversary of the birth of our nation, I wish him well and hope he overcomes the nastiness of Washington, D.C.
Face it, the Democrats aren't helping matters any. The politics as usual thing doesn't set well with me and both sides are playing politics as usual. I'm not happy about that one bit.
Ah well, we will hopefully come out of this stronger and smarter. This time let's not forget the lessons of history. The last time we had a depression, we decided government oversight and regulation was in order. Then came the "Republican revolution" where business was allowed to run unfettered and unchecked. Alan Greenspan even admitted he was mistaken in thinking the private sector could regulate themselves. It was some kind of group insanity in the banking sector that allowed things to get as bad as they did. It was because of the lack of government oversight.
So Republicans who say the private sector can help everything from health care to this economic meltdown, I say you need to study history and pull your heads out of the sand. Welcome to the real world where the Bernie Madoffs of the world ruin the lives of people so they can maintain some kind of ridiculously wasteful life of over consumption. Live and learn and stop being so flippin' stupid. Deregulation DOESN'T WORK! When given the opportunity, greed will cause entire industries to behave badly.
Here's hoping the American public will realize that we have to suffer a little before we can come out of this and it's not President Obama's fault. I hear the blame landing on him already. The right is becoming more and more hysterical and are probably self-medicating to make themselves feel better. Doesn't Rush Limbaugh look like he's back on drugs? Lost all that weight and he's saying really stupid things. I mean downright crazy things. It's outrageous even for him.
I have faith that things can turn around in this country. We just have to keep the faith and believe that some how, cooler heads will prevail. Write to your elected representatives and tell them to get with the program. We need all kinds of reform and don't let your fear of change scare you. Seriously, can it be any worse than it is now?
Well, okay, so if Sarah Palin were anywhere near Washington, maybe. Watch out world. The moron just announced she's resigning as governor of Alaska so she can promote her own retard self better. Okay, that's not what she said exactly. But that's my take on it. God help us all if she ever gets close to the presidency. That would be so scary, I won't even bother saying I'd leave the country because no matter where on earth you are, if that simp gets into office - which I highly doubt as she's not learned a thing from her mistakes - we're all in BIG trouble.
I thank God that we have a competent individual in the White House. I'm thankful that he's thoughtful and inclusive. I'm quite comforted to know he has a world view, not a myopic America only view. Because in the end, we've become very globalized in modern times with all our technology and you can't go running around bullying the rest of the world while proclaiming how we are the best country on the face of the planet.
Sure our light has dimmed a bit but I see it starting to shine once more. I see that hope in the face of modern America - Barack Obama.
So happy birthday America. We now have a chance to make ourselves better.
