The kitty has been renamed Oliver. The girl from composing who took him for the weekend renamed him and we rather like the name so we'll keep it. He's just so little and cute. Took him to the vet yesterday and got him his first shot and some worming medicine.
Took Leaper today to get shots. We weren't being very good about his shots at all. Besides, it was worth annoying him. As much as I adore him, he's got no respectful fear of me as all my other cats did. When you threaten to spray him with a water bottle, he squints his eyes as if he was Dirty Harry daring us, "Go ahead, make my day." Then if you do squirt him, he just glares at you afterward, not giving any ground.
So he went and got a booster. He was mad. He growled, he hissed but he was weighed - a healthy 12 pounds - and he got his shot and I brought his whiny little kitty butt home. He retreated to the storage room - which he manages to get into because he's figured out how to open the door. Yeah, one day I'm going to come home and find this cat cooking his own dinner. lol
So both cats are doing well and while Leaper isn't exactly thrilled that the little kitty has taken over his kitty bed, he seems all right about it. He sleeps on my feet. Not my husband's feet. MY feet. I have hot feet. I stick my feet out of the covers just to keep them cool. Why I love him so much I don't know - the cat, not my husband. I know why I love my husband. lol
Here's the first meeting of Oliver and Leaper. It's blurry because it's my camera phone. There's no way these two will let me get my camera and come back. lol

Well, happy Labor Day to all if I don't post again before then. :-)

We need a full frontal pic of Oliver so we can check out his lovely markings.
Knew you'd weaken.
With the spray - works best if you take them by surprise, and they hate you less if they don't realise it was you.
I have to say, it's not a technique I've ever used, though.
Aww...how sweet! And yes, we do need a full frontal view of Oliver! He's adorable and the name just fits!
OMG, he's adorable!!
He has similar markings to our "Patches". We lost him this spring, he just disappeared. I'm still crying thinking about it.
Have fun with little Oliver - they grow way too fast :)
