Major Case

It seems the Goldblum/Nicholson showrunner has found his footing. This episode was at least more interesting than the first two under this person - I have no idea what his/her name is because I don't seem to care enough to learn at this point.

Thought this episode was well executed anyway. The interaction between Ross/Eames/Nichols was well balanced and we even saw M.E. Rodgers getting more involved. I've missed her. Warren Leight spoiled us a lot when it comes to the regulars I think.

Wish I could be more excited but it's almost over and I am quite frankly hoping it's really over. I can't take any more incompetence. Glad Goldblum's episode was improved. But I'm not glad at all about the D'Onofrio/Erbe episodes. They have one more shot but honestly, it probably won't be able to save this show. It's almost as if the producers are trying to kill it. Seriously.

I want to post a photo but it seems the USA site is also sucking massively and not letting me get any because the photos appear to be there but then default to Season 7's Amends. Now I like that episode and all but I WANT photos from the latest episode.

LOCI has always been the unwanted stepchild of Wolf Productions. Now it seems to be put on the back burner with USA as well. I shouldn't be surprised.

As a dedicated fan of this show who has been watching since the very first episode aired, I am disgusted and angry at the way things have been handled for this series. This last season has been a complete disaster from the horrible writers for G/E episodes to the changing midstream of the showrunner for the N/W episodes. And I'm not even going to revisit the horror that was 'All In.' Walon Green should be fired for that kind of shoddy work.

One more episode to go and at this point, it's sadly just something I feel needs to be endured rather than anticipated and enjoyed. Again, I'd have posted some photos but it seems USA has a glitch since yesterday and it still hasn't seen fit to fix it.

In hindsight, this series should have ended with season 7 because when Leight and the entire writing staff left, they left behind a void which was filled by people who obviously are just there to do a job. Not people who care about the quality of their work and about the characters, actors and fans of the show. Now I'm left to do what I did with Homicide: Life on the Street. Pretend the show ended with the departure of Detective Frank Pembleton.

All I really have to say about this episode is "EAMES!"

If you're curious here's a little more. I'm getting a bit burnt out and am feeling lazy...so linkage:

No, no...
LOCI is the bastard son of Dick Wolf.
Trial By Jury is the step-child that no one talks about.

lol Yeah, but Trial by Jury should be the one no one talks about. Wait, on second thought, make that SVU. Trial by Jury wasn't great but it was better than that mess!

Nice to see you again, btw. :-)

I will watch as many episodes as they care to make because I am totally devoted to D'Onofrio. I don't want it ever to stop.

I had to giggle here..."bastard son/step child"....does that make Wolf the patriarchal father!?
Im beginning to think he is the Joe Jackson of the Law and Order Three!!!!

He has pulled LOCI back from its creative potential under balcer and leight, back into the boring procedural format of any mediocre crime show, almost as boring as his other two shows!
