Saw Jeff Goldblum on Colbert Report last night making fun of the PETA idiots reaction to President Obama's killing of that fly in his interview at the White House the other night on I think it was NBC? Hey, all the networks picked it up so I am generally confused as to what was generated where these days.
I thought it was cute and funny and promoted LOCI. Here's the clip. I tried posting it here but it's not working. Hey, it's just as funny at the actual site. Oh and shout out to Stephen Colbert who went and did his show from Iraq for a week! That's why he's got the buzz cut. Has Bill O'Reilly ever gone there? Or any of the other dweebs from FIX news??? They may have. But I'm sure if they did go they'd have been blabbing about it everywhere so probably not.
Good going Jeff! It was humorous and helped plug the show. :-)
And thought I'd share an "awwww" moment with y'all here. This is my kitty Leaper.
Thought he'd catch up on his kitty naps by hiding in my jeans. As far as he's concerned, if he can't see me, I can't see him.
Off to finish off my day. Work isn't really that bad, just frustrating and I'm sure just reflective of what many newspapers are experiencing these days. One day I expect to go to the office and be told we're just shutting down. It feels that way a lot these days. No one has said anything but that's the general feeling I get. If it doesn't shut down, it will change dramatically.
So I will keep on as long as I can and then figure out what to do next. It's not like I haven't changed careers a billion times in my life. Sadly, right now is not the best time to do it but I've been lucky in the past. Most of the changes came a opportune times and it was generally of my choosing. This one may not be but I'm as prepared as I can be. I consider myself lucky in these dark economic days.

People are making fun of his killing a fly? Next they'll be trying to ban antibiotics out of sympathy for the poor bacteria!
And I speak as a committed vegetarian who doesn't kill anything unnecessarily - but the moths that develop in parrot seed send me into a proper frenzy...
I think it was more making fun of the reaction from PETA. lol
I thought the way he killed that fly was most effective and is reflective of how he handles problems. Calmly and patiently watches and waits and strikes at the right moment.
Not panicking and blatantly ignoring the U.S. Constitution and dragging the country down to the level of terrorists by condoning torture and...oops, and here I was going to try and NOT talk about DICK Cheney and the Bush Administration... ;-)
Aww, your kitty is so cute!!! :-)
Glad to see you're back online a bit. I should be soon, too. Will email you later.
