...what the hell? Oh right, I'm not in Hawaii any more. It's March and the snow is still falling. Not enough to stick but it's still visible. I think I'm ready for spring. As muddy and ugly as it will be until things start growing, I'm ready.
I also think I'm feeling better because I'm here, making my rounds and actually interested in the fact that LOCI will be back on Sundays. Still not as excited as I used to be about start dates for the show but having been jerked around by USA I'm kind of put off of getting worked up over it.
With all the behind the scenes trouble with show runners - for the Jeff Goldblum/Julianne Nicholson portion of the shows anyway - I hope they don't ruin it and scare Jeff off. The show needs more continuity and while most of us watch primarily for Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe episodes, it doesn't help the show to have a confusing second part with rotating leads. And besides, I'm rather fond of Jeff Goldblum. After he was jerked around with his show Raines on NBC and now this ridiculous shuffling of show runners, I'd be a bit put off by television if I were him. Here's hoping he's not easily annoyed by people who apparently can't keep their commitments - his show runner who's name escapes me now and I suppose I won't really care in the end.
Haven't been keeping up with epi titles, filming dates or anything like that. I don't think I really want to get back into the forums thing again. I love Major Case and all but honestly, sometimes it gets to be a bit much. Why torture myself about where they're filming when there is no chance in hell I will ever be wandering by?
Also, the fact that a few so-called fans are kind of....well, shallow and quite judgmental about everything from writers to actors puts me off. Not that saying you don't like something is bad. It's just the things that bother them are kind of....shallow and judgmental. Mostly judgmental.
Also, too much knowledge can be a bad thing sometimes. It interferes with my enjoyment of the show in the end sometimes. Exception - having writer Charlie Rubin answer questions about continuity and that infamous "It's too late" comment made by Eames in Smile. lol Don't get me wrong, Major Case is the best of the forums out there but even there you get a couple of really annoying people. Nobody from there who reads this ask me about it because it's probably not you. The ones I'm referring to seem to be clueless about this blog and I'd like to keep it that way.
Starting to find new fan fiction via blogs of fellow fan fic writer friends. Seems it's helping to keep me wanting to see how Goren and Eames are this upcoming season. I'm ready for some happier moments for them. Dark is great drama but there's got to be some respite. Here's hoping for some this upcoming season.
Am really enjoying Life on Mars. Thank goodness LOCI will be on Sundays because if it was opposite Life on Mars, it would have to be watched later. I really am quite taken by the show and the fate of Sam Tyler, portrayed marvelously by Jason O'Mara. It also helps that Harvey Keitel is in it. He's one of those great character actors that I will watch in anything because he's quite entertaining. Great cast all around. Still finding Michael Imperioli's mustache somewhat distracting. I keep expecting it to jump down off his face and walk off. lol
Really wanting to see In Treatment. Oddly, even though I haven't seen any new episodes of LOCI, I already miss Warren Leight. I'm guess ing if he were still there, the shows would have started on time since he wouldn't up and quit in mid-season. In Treatment is really quite perfect for Warren Leight, I think.
Well, that's about it for today. I figure two days in a row is great these days, all things considered. lol I also saw my dismal post count for February of 5 and it made me realize I really do need to get back to blogging. It's very therapeutic.
Oh and thanks to all the concern over Bob. He's resting and as comfortable as he can be under the circumstances.

I'm a member of a few forums, but I visit them so rarely that I can never remember my sign-ins or passwords. I got thrown off one that insisted on free speech, so banned me for criticising those who slagged Vincent off. (No contradiction there then!)
Stick with the V-blogs. We are the real fans!
Yep, the more time goes on, the more I have to agree with you, Val. It's not that making constructive criticism is bad but when they start attacking him personally, I feel like they should just stop pretending to be fans and go watch someone else.
I do appreciate the blogs more.
I think alot of fans have left fansites to communicate in other ways, so in a way fansites dont represent the real fans anymore.
We got about 5 inches of snow on sunday -- that hardly ever happens here. So the whole city was basically shut down yesterday.
I understand about the forums. I peek in on Major case occassionally and may participate more once the episodes start, but I'm not sure. I may just put my thoughts on my journal. we will see.
Hi Janet! Nice to see you commenting. :-)
And yes, Lynne, you should write about it on your journal. :-)
I don't go to any of the forums these days. I get annoyed when I see names at thereel for instance, coo-ing all over Vincent and the same names stabbing him with a sharp implement elsewhere! I just get incandesantly MAD, which serves no purpose, other than to send my blood pressure rocketing.
Good to read that you're feeling better about things.
