Things Just Keep Getting Better!

It was nice to hear President Obama (I just so love saying that!) tell those pouting Republicans that he won! It's true. America has voted and told the Republicans we are tired of your hateful, divisive, arrogant, outdated way of thinking. We want thoughtful, intelligent, progressive thinking. THINKING being the operative word here. We can hold to our ideals without compromising our security.

Lately I've been watching FIX news and laughing. They're so screwed up and scared they don't know what to do. Most of the country can see they're a joke now. They're freaking out over everything and in the old days they would have come off sounding obnoxious and jerk-like. Many people still probably see them that way but I laugh at their stupidity. The fact that those morons felt safer with DICK and Dumbass in charge makes me feel sorry for them. So they can't keep illegal immigrants out but they kept the terrorists out? Really? How did they do that? Give me a break.

Speaking of DICK, he's been kind of hanging Dubya out to dry with things he's been saying. He's also covering his own ass...or trying to. All those complimentary things he's been saying about Lewis "Scooter" Libbey, his former chief of staff, I'm sure is to try and make Scooter feel less like wanting to write a tell-all book about how DICK and Karl probably gave him the marching orders and he had to fall on his sword to protect them. Here's hoping Scooter is bitter and angry as many former Bush Administration lackeys seem to be.

Oh and the one asshole I wish someone would take a shot at - except the only people who would do that kind of thing are probably his fans - is Rush Limbaugh. I don't like to wish death on anyone. Not even the big DICK. I mean if he died I wouldn't cry but wishing death is kind of bad karma and really not something I feel good about. In Limbaugh's case, I feel I am justified.

He's a fat headed gas bag. His latest outrage? He is hoping President Obama fails. That means he's hoping this country fails. Is that just to justify his hateful views? Because if Obama succeeds then all his loud mouthed asshole ideology would be proven WRONG?

Limbaugh is the worst kind of human being. Hypocrite first and foremost. All those horrible things he said about people who got addicted to pain pills, etc. Then he turned out to be an addict and I don't know if he ever apologized or if it ever made him more humble about the subject. He's such an ass. Then those insensitive remarks he makes about even those among us who are ill. The Michael J. Fox debacle for which he actually apologized. I'm surprised and wondered if hell was frozen over now. I'm sure he wasn't really sorry. He shows no ability to empathize with anyone except maybe that simp Sarah Palin.

Ah well, they can stew in their own hate. I'm happy to say, they are now irrelevant. In the progressive, forward thinking, intelligent America, they're just a minor road bump.

Stem cell research is going full steam ahead now, too. After all those years of ignorance, we are finally able make progress. This is going to be great for the medical community in this country.

Yep, life is definitely getting better! Conservatives don't like it? Tough. He won. The American people - the ones with brains - won. The ones who know that creating an atmosphere of hate and mistrust doesn't make us safer. It makes people hate us more.

If former die hard conservatives like my brother-in-law have given up on the Republicans, it's a bad sign for them. They're left with the neo-cons and evangelicals. Scary combination. Religious zealotry with fascist-like attitude are on the wane. May they be banished from mainstream politics from here on out.
