After scraping off my car windows for the third time today I have come to the conclusion that mother nature hates my guts. All morning when my car was nicely tucked away inside my garage, it was pretty nice weather-wise. The sun even came out for a couple of hours.
Then I proceeded to go about my day. I had to stop by the office, check messages, trade insults with the co-workers (all in fun - most of the time), go take pictures of Wal Mart pretending to be altruistic by donating some money to the local food pantry (okay, it's a nice gesture but Wal Mart is....well you fill in the derogatory comment of your choice here - I have a love-hate relationship with the store), stop by and interview the county road guy about the lack of funds and go back to the office to do write ups and all the other mundane office chores. Each time I was in transit, the weather was fine. Then while I was inside doing whatever it is I am supposed to be doing it would start to snow. A lot. And I mean a lot. So each time I went back to my car, I had to brush the snow off the car from the front and back windshields and the side windows, too. I think it waited to snow after I got to where I was going because it wanted to lull me into a false sense of security.
On the upside. Unlike last year when I had no garage, first thing in the morning - or today at noon - I didn't have to deal with the snow. Last year was horrible. I spent more time brushing off snow and scraping frost off my windshield in that one winter than I did during the entire 14 years I've been living here. So I figure mother nature is trying to get me now because she's pissed that she has missed seeing me fall on my ass like I did last year when I was trying to pull open my truck door which was frozen shut. And not being the brightest bulb in the box, I did it twice in a row.
Tomorrow if it's still snowy, I'll try to remember to take a picture. I didn't bother today because I was too busy scraping frost off my windshield and brushing the snow off my car.
