At this point there are five more days before we say goodbye and good riddance to George W. Bush and his horrible administration. The more he and DICK Cheney speak to the press, I more I am convinced these people are deluding themselves. They refuse to take responsibility for anything and despite all the evidence to the contrary they think they are 100% in the right.
Let's see, first on my bitch list about things Bush said in his farewell press conference is that Bush claims his one success is that there has not been an attack on American soil since 9-11. He believes the draconian measures he's taken towards torture, secret wire tapping of American citizens, suspension of habeas corpus and other offenses against the constitution have actually made us safer. We're safer? So all those illegal immigrants coming across the border but not one terrorist? Okay, sure, George, in your mind you made us safer. Did you know the Clinton administration could site several times they stopped attacks against us, too? Did you know they did it with all of our constitutional rights intact? Sorry you and your gang were too stupid to figure out how to keep us safe under the constitution. Sorry you have no faith in the principles of this country.
Oh and that leads to annoyance number 2. He was asked why he felt that he failed so miserably at being the "uniter" he wanted to be and ended up being such a "divider." He said he had no clue why the rhetoric got so bad.
Well, let me clue you in George. Your people - Karl Rove and other neo-cons in your administration - started calling those of us who disagreed with you and your ilk "unpatriotic." You know, that's how that simp Sarah Palin go the idea in her other-wise empty little head that there are more "pro-America' parts of the country. Pro-Americans apparently don't have much regard for our constitution unless it's about their rights to own guns - which I'm all for btw, but I am for all the other rights that the Bush Administration took away.
They're xenophobic attitude and the lack of taking responsibility is just astounding. Bush I can see. He's not the brightest bulb in the box. But Cheney? Apparently the man is just deranged. Or more suited for a totalitarian regime. His kind of intelligence we don't need.
I just saw last night's edition of The Daily Show - I had to sleep early last night so I could get up early and drive through a mini-blizzard for a story - Jon Stewart expressed everything I feel about Bush and his excuses. Here's what he had to say.
He also expressed some thoughts about Sarah Palin that I totally agree with!
I love Jon Stewart!

You crack me up!!!!
I forgot to mention, eight years of what ... B.S. And now Bin Laden is on a press tour. So much for Bin Laden being a threat that caused us to take on Iraq, of all places.
These people are so stupid. Yet US citizens continue to elect them!
I think the last will ferrel skit durring the election sums up W:
"when Dick sat me down the first day...the vice president is the most important postion in the world. the president can't do anything without running it by the vice president"
I'll have to come back later and watch the jon stewart bits.
I really enjoyed hearing some one of those republicans make a statement that Bush took over a recessive economy from Clinton. I almost threw a book at the TV. They take no responsibility what-so-ever
It's infuriating.
Well, Tony Blair was thinking about doing a 'UK Tour' before he left office. Being so popular (not) I don't think he did in the end....
